A fines de febrero e inicio de marzo recibiremos a Magnus Fontes, del Instituto Roche
En su visita le interesa presentarse a la comunidad matemática y afín y de esa forma contar un poco en que está trabajando, así como intercambiar acerca de posibilidades de trabajos de interacción entre academia e industria, e incluso en la posibilidad de aprovechar la posibilidad que da la existencia de un Laboratorio asociado al CNRS para por ejemplo iniciar becas de doctorado del tipo CIFRE (ver https://www.enseignementsup-recherche.gouv.fr/fr/les-cifre-46510).
La charla tendría lugar el Jueves 6 de marzo en el salón 101 de la Facultad de Ingeniería. 
Título “Mathematical modeling challenges in biomedicine.”
Abstract: I will describe some of the current challenges in biomedical research and drug discovery and indicate where there are real opportunities for mathematicians to engage and make a difference. Examples will mostly come from analysis of the human immune system and development of immuno modulatory drugs.
